National carrier Vietnam Airlines has warned customers of a scam regarding purchasing tickets for charter flights from foreign countries to Vietnam.

The airline said that its staff recently received many requests from customers to verify the authenticity of charter flights to Vietnam.

The carrier found that many of the flights in question did not actually exist, but were falsely advertised by some organizations or individuals to financially take advantage of customers.

Vietnam Airlines has advised that customers learn carefully about the ticket seller before making a transaction and only buy air tickets from reputable sellers or agents officially authorized by the airline to avoid fake or inflated tickets.

In case of problems after transactions at unofficial ticketing units, customers should contact Vietnam Airlines and authorities for support.

Customers can look up the list of official agents of Vietnam Airlines at the address www.vietnamairlines.com/vn/en/agency.

To verify information related to international charter flights to Vietnam, customers can call Vietnam Airlines Customer Care Center at 1900 1100 (for domestic callers) or +84 243 8320320 (for international callers), leave messages at the airline’s verified Facebook page at www.facebook.com/VietnamAirlines or contact relevant agencies.
