GSM Green and Smart Mobility JSC on Saturday announced that its taxi services branded Green SM Taxi would made a debut in Hanoi on April 14.

The launch is the stepping stone to expand the brand’s reach to at least five cities and provinces nationwide this year.

Starting from April 14, customers in Hanoi can opt for two green and smart taxi services for mobility, including GreenCar and LuxuryCar.

VinFast VF e34 and VF 8 electric autos will be used for the two services in the initial stage.

In the coming time, the brand will use small-sized VF 5 Plus cars for its GreenCar service after Vietnam’s electric vehicle maker VinFast makes the auto delivery.

With the outstanding car color, which is cyan, a combination of green representing the color of the environment and clean energy and blue symbolizing intelligence and technology, the GreenCar service will bring new, green, and smart experiences to customers.

The LuxuryCar service will be a luxury option tailored to customers preferring privacy and high-end facilities, using a fleet of VF 8 cars and highly skilled drivers who are good at English.

A GreenCar ride will cost customers VND20,000 (US$0.85) for the first kilometer.

For the next 24 kilometers, the fare will stand at VND14,000 ($0.6) per kilometer for the use of the VF 5 Plus car and VND15,500 ($0.7) per kilometer for the VF e34 car.

The respective fares will be VND12,000 ($0.51) and VND12,500 ($0.53) each kilometer for the rest of the drive.

The LuxuryCar service will charge customers a fixed VND21,000 ($0.9) a kilometer of the entire drive.

With its competitive prices for each of the taxi services, the brand is moving toward redefining the mobility service, spreading green lifestyle and forming a habit of electric vehicle usage in the community.

In the initial period of its operation, the Green SM Taxi brand will operate 500 VF e34 cars and 100 VF 8 autos in Hanoi.

The Green SM taxi services will be available at all Vincom shopping malls and public places in the Vietnamese capital city to meet the mobility demand of customers.

Customers can easily access the GSM taxi services via the hotline number at 1900 2088, hail a Green SM Taxi cab on streets or at public places, or book the services via the Green SM Taxi app.
