Dancer Kathryn McCormick, who placed third in the sixth season of American dancing reality show “So You Think You Can Dance,” is set to make an appearance at the Vietnamese version’s gala on Saturday night in Ho Chi Minh City.

McCormick, who starred in “Step Up Revolution” – an American 3D dance film and the fourth installment in the “Step Up” film series – arrived in Vietnam on Monday, according to the organizer of the local dance show.

During her one-week stay in Vietnam, McCormick will attend the gala, during which the show’s Top 20 will be announced.

The gala will take place at Maximark Cong Hoa Sports Hall at 15-17 Cong Hoa Street, Tan Binh District, and will be aired live on HCMC Television channel HTV7 at 9:00 pm on October 18.

Kathryn Renée McCormick, 24, is an American contemporary dancer and actress.

She rose to fame after placing third in the sixth season of American dance competition “So You Think You Can Dance” in 2009. She was the highest-placed woman in that season.

She returned for seasons 7-10 as one of the show's aides to contestants.

McCormick began dancing as early as age three. She moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18 and landed a non-leading role in the remake of “Fame.”

The young dancer was also featured in the “Jar of Hearts” music video by Christina Perri.

She performed in the “Dancing with the Stars” reality show in 2012 and 2014 as well.
