The much-loved singer will appear in the “Forbes Vietnam - Under 30 Summit,” which will take place on May 12 at GEM Center, located at 8 Nguyen Binh Khiem Street, District 1, Forbes Vietnam reported on Tuesday.

The forthcoming “Under 30 Summit” is expected to address an audience of 800 members, including young entrepreneurs, artists, social activists, specialists, and students.

The meeting is meant to boost the startup spirit and encourage young Vietnamese who crave success to share their plans on how to build their future careers and make their voices heard on matters of vital importance in their life, Forbes Vietnam said.

Other speakers at the summit include Ton Nu Thi Ninh, former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the European Union; Henry Nguyen, Managing G. Partner IDGVV; Le Hong Minh, chair of VNG; and KhaiLee Ng, Managing Partner of 500 Startups.

Katy Perry is a current UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and former member of the U.S.’s “Forbes 30 Under 30” list, which features individuals who stand out in the industries they are part of, ranging from business and startup to entertainment and sports, according to Forbes Vietnam.

Perry will not perform any songs during her stay in Vietnam.

The singer is currently on her Asian performing tour called “The Prismatic World.”

After arriving in Ho Chi Minh City for the summit, Perry will fly to Bangkok for a show scheduled for May 14.

Katy Perry, 31, is a renowned American singer, songwriter, and occasional actress.

The singer was catapulted to fame in 2008 with the release of her singles “I Kissed a Girl” – which had attention-grabbing and somewhat controversial lyrics – and “Hot n Cold,” also one of her hits.

Perry has earned many accolades, including three Guinness World Records.

Throughout her career, the singer, who is also known for her richly-colored outfits and hair, has sold 11 million albums and 81 million singles worldwide, making her one of the best-selling artists of all time.
