Vietnam will attend a rehearsal humanitarian assistance and disaster relief and military medicine (HADR & MM) in the framework of the ASEAN Defense Ministers Meeting Plus (ADMM+) held in Brunei in June, according to the Ministry of Defense.

A source of Tuoi Tre has confirmed that this is the first time Vietnam sent its forces to attend such a combined exercise program abroad.

As a result, the force is asked promote the image and status of the Vietnam People’s Army via its ability, organization, command, coordination with other participating forces, military conducts and acts during the exercise program.

Their contribution should enhance the position and reputation of the Vietnamese People's Army, in particular, and the country, in general, and people of Vietnam in the eyes of international friends as well.

Vietnamese participating troops should also draw lessons and experiences from the exercise in order to then apply in similar exercises in Vietnam in the future.
