The Vietnamese government leader proposed the three nations continue to address existing problems to quickly finish land border demarcation, with the aim of building and maintaining borderlines of peace, friendship, cooperation and development, for the benefit of each nation’s people.

The trio remarked that these three Southeast Asian nations have made great efforts to overcome challenges brought about by complicated global and regional developments, while maintaining security and political stability.

The relentless efforts to strengthen trilateral ties among Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia hold strategic significance for the three nations.

The three Cabinet leaders agreed to further maintain regular bilateral and trilateral exchanges as well as the working breakfast mechanism when the trio attend international conferences, so as to tighten their solidarity, friendship, and cooperation.

They also agreed to enhance the effectiveness of the existing cooperation mechanisms, comprising joint efforts to hold the 13th Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Development Triangle Summit and the first meeting of the three countries’ top legislators in Laos this year.

They said the security and national defense cooperation has been significantly advanced and agreed to effectively implement existing agreements and cooperation mechanisms, boost the sharing of information, and bolster cooperation in fighting against cross-border crime and cybercrimes.

Besides, they concurred that more policies will be adopted to encourage trade and investment collaboration, with a focus on border trade and the border gate system among the three nations.

They underlined the need to jointly maximize the three countries’ competitive edges in terms of heritages, culture, and cuisine to promote tourism cooperation.
