A convoy of special cars and motorcycles started a rehearsal on the streets of Hanoi on Wednesday morning to get ready to welcome and serve Russian President Vladimir Putin as well as his entourage during their stay in Vietnam from Wednesday to Thursday.

The rehearsal was conducted by the municipal Department of Public Security and the Ministry of Public Security to ensure complete safety and security for the high-ranking Russian delegation.

Russian President Putin will pay a state visit to Vietnam at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung, director of the Hanoi Department of Public Security, underlined that the visit is a key event, so police officers and relevant forces have been ordered to ensure the utmost safety and security for the delegation.

Traffic police officers are tasked with smoothing traffic flow to facilitate the delegation’s movement, making regular patrols and adopting effective measures to ease traffic jams on the streets through which the convoy carrying the delegation will pass.
