Vietnam’s Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) and Cambodia’s Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, have reached an agreement to promote cooperation and information sharing in social welfare, in Hanoi on September 14.

At the meeting, MOLISA’s Minister Pham Thi Hai Chuyen updated the Cambodian officials on the ministry’s recent activities in vocational training, child protection and care, poverty reduction and social welfare.

She said the meeting was an indication of the level of cooperation between the two countries in this area and said she hoped that Vietnam and Cambodia will step up cooperation in the future.

Cambodian Minister Ith Sam Heng praised the achievements recorded by Vietnam , saying that Cambodia can learn from its neighbours’ experiences in these fields.
