A heat wave has hit the Vietnamese was hit by over the past five days, bringing road surface temperatures to 60 degrees Celsius.

Even if people stay under a tree’s shadow, there is no much difference in temperature.

Hats, ‘non la’ (conical hat), sunglasses, umbrellas, hand fans, mini electric fans and a bottle of water have become inseparable things to both Hanoi locals and foreign visitors in the capital city.
