Vietnamese firm to launch instant job search app next month

A Vietnamese-made mobile application designed to assist people in their job search is expected to make a debut next month.

Hanoi-based iWork Service JSC has announced that its employment app, named iWork, will be launched within September, the Vietnam News Agency reported on Sunday.

With information on millions of jobs, the mobile app will utilize artificial intelligence to help laborers find their desirable jobs as well as assist employers in their recruitment.

The app will be available for both Android and iOS devices.

It is expected to reduce up to 50 percent of recruiting costs for employers compared to traditional recruitment channels.

The app enables jobseekers to contact businesses online.

Some of iWork’s most convenient features include the instant job match and ability to find a job close to the user’s location, said John Nguyen, a representative from the company.

It will also allow employers and jobseekers to exchange messages online via live chat as well as provide an Internet-based interview feature to help candidates to save time and travel expenses, Nguyen continued.

The company plans to further develop iWork so the application will offer employment opportunities not only in Vietnam but also in other markets such as the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The Vietnamese app is not to be confused with iWork, an office suite of apps created by Apple Inc. for its macOS and iOS operating systems.
