A blaze that broke out at Tan Tao Industrial Park in Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday evening destroyed a 4,200-square-meter warehouse there.
Ten firefighting units were dispatched to respond to the fire following a fire alarm at 7:05 pm on Wednesday at an appliances warehouse owned by Southern Sunhouse JSC at Tan Tao Industrial Park.
The municipal firefighting police said a total of 43 fire engines and more than 300 firefighters were deployed to contain the fire and seal off the surrounding area where it occurred.
Once the fire intensified and looked as if it might spread, the emergency mobilization of extra firefighting officers from the neighboring districts was coordinated.
After hours of active firefighting, the conflagration was declared contained and extinguished.
The fire destroyed more than half of the total warehouse area of 7,200 square meters of Southern Sunhouse Company.
There were no reports of injuries.
Scene investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
