Hanoi announces three pyrotechnic display locations for 2021 New Year celebration

People in Hanoi will have the chance to contemplate firework displays near Hoan Kiem Lake, Thong Nhat Park, and My Dinh National Stadium at midnight on New Year’s Eve.
The People’s Committee of Hanoi just announced the city’s plan for firework displays on the 2021 New Year celebration, which had been approved by the prime minister.
Accordingly, the high-altitude pyrotechnic displays will be organized at the three aforementioned spots in Hoan Kiem, Hai Ba Trung, and Nam Tu Liem Districts at around 0:00 am - 0:15 am on January 1, 2021.
The municipal People's Committee assigned the Hanoi Capital High Command to preside over and urgently coordinate with the city’s Department of Culture and Sports, the People's Committees of Hoan Kiem, Hai Ba Trung, and Nam Tu Liem Districts and related units to set up and carry out the firework displays at the above locations.
The municipal administration also assigned the People's Committees of the three districts to mobilize funds from private sectors to sponsor the performances in compliance with regulations.
In addition, the districts were requested to coordinate with the Hanoi Capital High Command and related units to ensure the firework displays to be as safe, efficient, and economical as possible.
