Many streets in Hanoi were congested because of a torrential rain on Tuesday morning.
As foreseen by the National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, Hanoi saw moderate rain in the morning in its inner areas, with rainfall of up to 30 millimeters during the three-hour rain.
The rain came down mainly on such districts as Ba Dinh, Cau Giay, Hoan Kiem, Hai Ba Trung, Tay Ho, and Dong Da.

As noted by Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper reporters, due to the influence of the heavy rain, the traffic on various streets became jammed, especially during rush hours in the morning.
Serious congestion was recorded on many inner streets such as Nguyen Trai, Lang, Truong Chinh, Tay Son, Thai Ha, and Huynh Thuc Khang.
On the section from Nga Tu So Ward to Belt 3 of Nguyen Trai Street, the severe traffic jam stretched for up to a kilometer.
