-- Border guards of Ha Tien International Border Gate in Kien Giang Province on Friday received 226 more Vietnamese citizens who had been rescued and handed over by Cambodian authorities from labor-abusing companies during September 18-22.

-- A heavy rain flooded a section of Provincial Road 763, sweeping many motorcycles away and leaving one person missing in Dinh Quan District, southern Dong Nai Province on Friday evening.

-- The Vietnam Day Abroad 2022 will be held in Austria, India, and South Korea on the occasion of the anniversaries of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and these countries, the organizer announced at a press conference in Hanoi on Friday.


-- Vietnamese grandmaster Le Quang Liem waved goodbye to the Julius Baer Generation Cup 2022 after failing to defeat champion Arjun Erigaisi from India in two extra games in the semifinals of the online chess tournament on Saturday morning (Vietnam time).
