Police in Vietnam’s Central Highlands province of Lam Dong are investigating a traffic accident in which a truck driver continued driving his route after running over and killing two motorcyclists on a mountain pass last week.
Police in Da Huoai District, Lam Dong said on Wednesday that they had impounded the truck involved in the deadly accident.
The 1.4-metric-ton truck collided with a motorbike bearing license plate 63B-650.XX, which was traveling from Da Lat City to Ho Chi Minh City, on the Bao Loc mountain pass in Da Huoai District at around 8:00 pm on November 4.
During the incident, the motorbike rider and his passenger, 25-year-old Nguyen Thang Loi and 22-year-old Tran Tan Ha, both from the Mekong Delta province of Long An, were thrown off the bike and crushed by the truck.

After the collision, the driver continued his journey to Di Linh District to deliver his shipment before returning to Ho Chi Minh City and handing over the truck to another driver.
The truck was seized in Di Linh on November 5 when the second driver visited the district to deliver another shipment.
Police officers were unable to collect much information and evidence at the scene as it was raining during the traffic accident.
The officers are keeping the identity of the driver in question undisclosed in order to facilitate their investigation.
