Scaffolding collapse kills two in Da Nang

Two construction workers were killed and three others were injured after a scaffolding collapse at a construction site in Hai Chau District of Da Nang in central Vietnam early on Thursday morning.

The incident occurred on September 2 Street at 2:10 am.

The cause of the collapse is still under investigation.

After being notified of the incident, police officers and a relevant task force quickly approached the scene of the collapse to carry out a rescue operation.

About three hours after rescue efforts began, the bodies of two victims were removed from the debris.

The deceased were identified as N.S., 53, and N.T.X., 49, who were residents of Dai Loc District in neighboring Quang Nam Province.

Three other construction workers, aged between 44 and 50, are suffering injuries.
