Three men are in a critical condition due to suspected alcohol poisoning in Kien Giang Province, southern Vietnam, the provincial general hospital said on Monday.
The hospital admitted the trio who turned blue and experienced low blood pressure and respiratory distress on Sunday evening and Monday morning.
The three patients were N.H.T., 39, H.V.L., 45, and N.T.H., 44, all residing in Rach Gia City under Kien Giang.
They drank alcohol after work.
Doctor Duong Phuoc Dong, head of the intensive care and poison control unit at the Kien Giang General Hospital, said doctors had given them dialysis and were keeping a close watch on them.
He also advised those developing the symptoms of blurred vision, headache, and shortness of breath after drinking alcohol to visit the hospital immediately for emergency treatment.
