1 killed, 4 injured as car plows into motorbikes on sidewalk in southern Vietnam

A car lost control at a high speed and crashed into a group of parents who were waiting for their children on the sidewalk in Binh Duong Province, bordering Ho Chi Minh City, on Sunday evening, claiming the life of one man and injuring four others.
Traffic police officers of Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province, said on Sunday that they were examining the scene and discovering the cause of the accident.
The police reported that at about 5:00 pm on Sunday, a group of parents were waiting for their children to finish their classes on Huynh Van Luy Street in Thu Dau Mot City.
The car suddenly crashed into them, causing five casualties and damaging many motorbikes.

The accident scared many students.
Following the accident, the car driver surrendered to the police.
Investigation into the accident is underway.
