Police in Gia Lai Province, located in Vietnam’s Central Highlands region, are investigating a fatal traffic accident involving two motorcycles that killed three people on the spot and injured one.
The frontal crash occurred in Chu Prong District at around 5:45 pm on Wednesday, Vu Dinh Hanh, chairman of the district’s administration, confirmed on the same day.
The deceased victims were identified as Nay K., 13, Ro Mah T., 17, and Ro Mah Tuen, 22, all residing in the district.
Siu Ngu, 18, another local resident, was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment after suffering multiple injuries and falling into a coma.
Hanh added that he had asked relevant forces to urgently launch a probe to determine the cause of the deadly accident.
Doan Huu Dung, deputy director of the provincial Department of Transport and deputy head of the provincial Traffic Safety Committee, said the crash had been reported to upper authorities and relevant units were dealing with the aftermath.
