Police in Binh Thuan Province, south-central Vietnam on Wednesday arrested Nguyen Van Nhut, a 56-year-old teacher, over allegations of sexually abusing two elementary school students aged 10 many times.

In the 2022-23 academic year, Nhut was the head teacher of a fourth-grade class of an elementary school in Hong Son Commune, Ham Thuan Bac District, Binh Thuan Province.

The class included V.N.T.T. and T.N.Y.N..

On April 27 this year, while his students were studying, Nhut stood behind T. and sexually assaulted her.

He repeated the act in the next class.

T. was afraid, so she did not dare to protest against the teacher’s act.

As she showed abnormal behaviors, her mother asked her many times and T. told her mother what had happened.

T.’s mother then reported the case to local police.

During a probe into the case, police officers found that Nhut also sexually abused T.N.Y.N. many times.

The investigation into the case is underway.
