Police in Hai Phong City, northern Vietnam on Tuesday arrested two residents from Hanoi for excessive speed, with one of them found traveling at up to 299 kilometers per hour.

The two speedsters were Nguyen Van Tuan, 29, and Dinh Van Anh, 26.

On September 9, Tuan was riding a Yamaha R1 YZF1000 at high speed, reaching 299 kilometers per hour at times, while Anh was riding a BMW S1000 really fast on one wheel along 356 and Tan Vu-Lach Huyen Streets on Cat Ba Island off Cat Hai District under this northern port city.

Tuan filmed himself riding the bike, speeding at 299 kilometers, cornering, and doing a wheelie.

He edited these videos and posted them on a Facebook page with over 17,000 followers.

Police discovered that this group of motorcyclists also included Tran Quoc D., 32, who rode a BMW S1000RR; Dinh Trong L., 33, who rode a Honda CBR650R; and Dang Dinh T., 32, who rode a Kawasaki NINJA ZX-10R. Officers are working to tackle these three.
