The wooden ceiling of a classroom at a high school in Vinh City, Nghe An Province, north-central Vietnam collapsed while students were attending a class on Thursday morning, leaving at least two students severely injured.
A representative of Hermann Gmeiner High School confirmed the incident on the same day.
Over 40 11th graders were taking a lesson at 7:00 am, when the roof of their classroom suddenly fell down.
Among them, at least two were injured and rushed to General Hospital 115 for emergency treatment.
Police in the city are investigating the cause of the collapse.

A representative of the hospital said that it admitted eight students on Thursday morning.
After receiving first aid, six of them were discharged, while the others remain in the hospital to be treated for injuries to their heads and legs.
Hermann Gmeiner High School was established in Hung Phuc Ward, Vinh City in 1994.
The school has 41 classes with more than 1,700 students.
