-- A 30-year-old South Korean has been detained for allegedly murdering his 60-year-old South Korean father, who arrived in Vietnam on Wednesday and was found dead with multiple wounds on his body in a Scenic Valley 1 apartment in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday, local police confirmed on Friday.

-- Health authorities in Vietnam’s Central Highlands province of Gia Lai have imposed disciplinary actions against a group of healthcare workers for their alleged involvement over a fetal death at 37 weeks of pregnancy, the provincial Health Department said on Friday.

-- Seven men, aged between 20 and 50, have been arrested for the alleged rape and assault of a 15-year-old girl in Ca Mau Province, southern Vietnam, with six of them being relatives of the teengirl, local police said on Friday.

-- Koizumi Kenichi, a Japanese real estate investment expert, has praised the amended Land Law that was passed by the Vietnamese National Assembly earlier this year, believing that one specific amendment will be very welcome to foreign companies, the Vietnam News Agency reported.

-- Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) maker VinFast said on Friday that it will attend the Bangkok International Motorshow held from March 27 to April 7 and will launch its EVs in the Thai market.
