Rescuers located and saved two missing pilots in a military training aircraft crash in Binh Dinh Province in south-central Vietnam on Wednesday.
The two pilots were rushed to hospital for medical check-ups. They are now in stable condition.
The aircraft–Yak-130 jet took off from Phu Cat Airport at 9:55 am for a long-distance and cloud-crossing training exercise with Colonel Nguyen Van Son and Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Quan aboard.
An incident occurred at 10:38 am when they tried to land but the landing gear could not be released and emergency measures did not work.
The two pilots reported the incident to their unit and were allowed to parachute.
They parachuted at 10:51 am.

Nearly 200 military officers and dozens of residents were mobilized to search for the two missing pilots.
Rescuers reached pilot Quan around 8:20 pm, finding him on a high mountain, unharmed. Son was later brought out of the forest around midnight.
Telecom provider Viettel assisted the rescue efforts, identifying the pilots' suspected locations and enhancing telecom services in the area to support the search.
As a result, Quan could contact his unit via his mobile phone at 4:30 pm and the search and rescue team received an alert from Son’s mobile phone at 6:45 pm.
