The body of a foreign man was found floating along the shore near a beach in Hoi An, central Vietnam on Wednesday morning, marking the second corpse discovered this week in the famous tourist city.
Local residents discovered the body and reported it to authorities who immediately dispatched officers to cordon off the scene at Tan Thanh Beach and conduct an autopsy.
Releveant agencies later brought the corpse of the man, whom they believe to be 45 years old, to the Hoi An mortuary in the eponymous city, situated in Quang Nam Province.
According to locals, the beach area had been hit by strong waves over the past several days and it is likely the man drowned while sunbathing.

Functional agencies are working to identify the victim and investigate his death.
Earlier on Tuesday afternoon, a cyclo (pedicab) driver discovered the body of another foreign man, about 20 years old, floating on the Hoai River, near Hoi An’s Bach Dang promenade.
Before the body was discovered, a social media post had been circulating about a foreign man who went missing while touring Hoi An with his friends.
