Rainfall is expected to increase across Ho Chi Minh City and other southern Vietnamese provinces in the first days of 2025 on account of strong wind disturbances, according to the southern hydrometeorological center.
This region is forecast to receive intensified rain from Thursday to Saturday due to a stable subtropical high-pressure system over central Vietnam and strengthening easterly wind disturbances at higher altitudes.
Meanwhile, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued a warning about a low-pressure trough associated with a low-pressure area over the East Vietnam Sea.
This system is expected to worsen weather conditions both at sea and on land in the Central Highlands and southern regions.
The New Year’s Eve forecast in Ho Chi Minh City and other southern provinces looks favorable, with sunny skies during the day and only light, scattered rain in the evening.
These weather conditions could allow for smooth New Year celebrations.
