VTC was established on August 19, 2004 with the aim of applying and testing digital broadcasting technology. In 2015, the VTC network was transferred to the Voice of Vietnam for management.
Over the past 20 years, VTC effectively fulfilled its mission of propagating the Party's guidelines and the state's policies and laws, becoming a strong brand among Vietnamese media agencies, familiar to millions of domestic and international viewers.
Meanwhile, VOV TV was set up in September 2008 and played a significant role in extending VOV's news coverage to a wide audience.
Nhan Dan TV was founded in 2015.
