A heartwarming incident involving a three-year-old boy from Nghe An Province, north-central Vietnam has captured the attention of millions on social media as the boy, quick-witted, called on adults to rescue another child who had fallen into a deep hole.

The video of the incident, which went viral on Sunday, shows the young boy calling out for help when he witnessed his friend fall into a construction pit.

The incident occurred in Quyet Thang Village, Nghi Dien Commune, Nghi Loc District on Saturday afternoon.

Nguyen Van Thanh, the father of the boy, identified as Nguyen Nam Phong, recounted that the family of his friend, bringing their five-year-old child along, visited his house at around 1:00 pm the same day.

While the adults were chatting, Phong suddenly rushed into the house, calling out, "Mom, help, help!" 

His urgent cries were initially confusing to the adults as Phong was not speaking clearly. 

However, after a moment of panic, they quickly realized that something was wrong and suspected that the child had fallen into a nearby construction pit.

Immediately, they rushed to the scene, managed to pull the child from the pit, and ensured he was safe.

A security camera from a neighboring home captured footage of Phong's brave attempt to rescue his friend.

Before alerting the adults, Phong, in his panic, had tried in vain to pull his friend out of the hole. 

The video showing the incident surfaced on social media, attracting nearly a million likes and over 900 comments, with many netizens praising Phong for his intelligence, quick thinking, and maturity beyond his years.
