Besides training clothes, shoes, towels, and equipment, players on Saigon Heat keep some unique things in their training backpacks.

Nguyen Huynh Phu Vinh, the power forward of the 2022 VBA winner, recently shared what he carries in his backpack to training sessions.

While Vinh’s backpack contained common items like basketball shoes, a water bottle, towels, a laundry bag, an extra T-shirt, and whey protein powder, many fans were surprised to also see muscle relaxers, manual massage tools, and resistance bands.

Similar to Phu Vinh, center and captain Tim Waale, or Dinh Khai Tam, also keeps warm-up equipment and massage tools in his training backpack, including a heavy-duty rubber band and foot massage ball.

Both Phu Vinh, who was part of the national 5x5 men’s basketball team that competed in the 2022 FIBA Asia preliminary round in Mongolia from November 10-14, and Tim Waale contributed to the Saigon Heat’s three VBA triumphs in 2019, 2020, and 2022.
