The Fair and Exhibition of Seeds and Hi-Tech Agriculture 2023 kicked off at the Binh Phu Park in District 6, Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday, showcasing dozens of strange, unique plants and animals.
The five-day fair features several new breeds of turtles and frogs; as well as many species of bonsai.
The Binh Phu Park was packed on Wednesday morning when visitors enjoyed the opening ceremony and had the opportunity to hunt for unique seedlings.
Ngo Dang Thu, 66, visited the fair where he bought two heavy bags filled with calamansi seedlings and several types of young bonsai.
He was also hoping to find variegated pink lemon seedlings at the fair.
“I bought new seedlings that are hard to find at bonsai stores in Ho Chi Minh City. [The ones I bought] were grown in An Giang Province [in the Mekong Delta region],” Thu said.
