Saudi Arabian people were fond of Vietnam’s dishes and traditional culture and art at the Vietnam Day in Saudi Arabia which last from Friday until Sunday.
The organizer of the event shared on Saturday that Vietnam’s pho, fried seafood spring rolls and grilled shrimp and chicken spring rolls attracted Saudi Arabian people and international visitors.
They enjoyed nearly 300 servings of pho and over 500 spring rolls within only two hours after the event opening ceremony on Friday evening.
Nguyen Thuong Quan, chairman of the Vietnam Chefs Association, who prepared dishes at the event, said he had studied culture and cuisine in Saudi Arabia to prepare Vietnamese dishes that matched locals’ flavors.

Besides cuisine, Saudi Arabian people and international tourists experienced Vietnam’s culture and art.
They made to he (toy figurines) and did Dong Ho folk paintings and lacquer paintings with the instruction of Vietnamese artisans.
Performances of traditional Vietnamese musical instruments, including flutes, two-chord fiddles, monochords, and others, also attracted a large audience.
Saudi Arabia people and foreign visitors also learned about Vietnam through an exhibition of Vietnam’s culture and UNESCO-recognized world heritages.
