Vietnam Railways will launch two special trains, named ‘Spring Train,’ traveling between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on Lunar New Year’s Eve.
The two ‘Spring Train’ trips will be operated by train SE1, departing from Hanoi Station at 10:10 pm on January 28, or Lunar New Year's Eve, and train SE4, leaving Saigon Station at 7:30 pm on the same day.
Both trains feature two uniquely-designed community carriages, with their exteriors adorned with paintings related to traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) activities, such as flower markets and calligraphy.
The interiors of these carriages are decorated with designs of peach and apricot blossoms that represent the Tet celebrations of the north and south of Vietnam, respectively, making them perfect spots for passengers to take photos.
According to the organizer, these community carriages will also host cultural activities throughout the journey.
Passengers with tickets for the special trains will have an opportunity to enjoy a variety of exciting experiences during the trips.

At the stroke of midnight, passengers can immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere with a countdown party and sweet treats, participate in a lucky draw, receive lucky money, join cultural exchange activities, play traditional games, and enjoy special Tet dishes.
Additionally, there will be a mobile art camp onboard, featuring artists from all regions of Vietnam -- the north, central, and south -- where passengers can receive portraits, engage in clay sculpting, or paint together with the artists on the first day of the Lunar New Year.
The organizer will also arrange an exhibition featuring works by 40 Vietnamese painters on the second floor of Hanoi Station, as well as a painting workshop at Saigon Station on the second day of Tet.
