With its vast space, Tri An Lake in Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam, surrounded by lush green forests, is considered an ideal destination to cool off and chill out on weekends and holidays.

It is recommended to take a lake vacation to Tri An Lake in the summer.

Tri An is an artificial lake that spans over 32,000 hectares of land in Vinh Cuu, Dinh Quan, Thong Nhat, and Trang Bom Districts.

About 70 kilometers away from Ho Chi Minh City, Tri An Lake attracts not only locals but also young people from the southern metropolis, Binh Duong Province, and Binh Phuoc Province.

As the lake shares a borderline with the Dong Nai Cultural Nature Reserve, the natural space formed by water and plants seems to soak visitors in a dreamy, airy land.

Tri An Lake is seen as one of the best places for various activities such as SUP (stand-up paddleboarding), cycling, jogging, fishing, or flying a kite in the summer.

Furthermore, tourists can savor local specialties and dishes cooked from fish caught from Tri An Lake.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, adventure tourism has become a popular travel trend, and Tri An Lake has quickly emerged as a sought-after tourist site among young people.

In early April, when the hot weather started hitting many parts of Vietnam, crowds of young people and families flocked to Tri An Lake to cool off and hide from the extreme heat.

Nguyen Ngoc Minh Thu, a 27-year-old resident of Ho Chi Minh City, said that she loves the lake’s wildness.

The price of a journey to Tri An Lake, which is a bit over an hour away from Ho Chi Minh City by motorcycle, is quite reasonable, she said.

“The natural landscapes here are stunning and peaceful. I feel relaxed when taking a trip to the place,” Thu said.
