Embassy seeks Vietnamese candidates for Swiss scholarships

The Swiss Embassy in Hanoi is looking for local candidates for a number of scholarships the Swiss government will grant for the 2013-14 academic year.

There are three types of grant available at the moment, including Research Fellowships and PhD and Posdoctoral Scholarships.

Successful applicants will undertake their researches at Swiss public universities, federal institutes of technology, public teaching and research institutes, and universities of applied sciences.

They will be entitled to a monthly payment, Swiss health insurance, airfares, lodging allowances, and other benefits.

The duration of research will last from one to three years, depending on each type of scholarships.

Applicants, 35 or younger, must apply for only one university, should be residing in their home country at the moment of application, and must satisfy necessary foreign language skill requirements.

They are required to submit photocopies of university certificates, letters of recommendation, research proposals, resumés, and other documentation when applying for the scholarships.

Applications have to be sent in three copies before November 15 to the Swiss Embassy at 15th floor, Hanoi Central Office Building, 44B Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Hanoi.
