A run, which is modeled after India’s hugely popular Holi Festival, is set to take place in Ho Chi Minh City’s foreigner quarter Phu My Hung in district 7 on Apr 19.

The run, “Color me run”, is inspired from the colorful Indian festival, which attracts several thousands of pilgrims, and is developed into a community cultural, sportive event.

Participants will jog or run on a 5km track and is sprayed with colored powder at the end of each leg.

Covered with colorful powder from head to toe, they will reach the destination, which is a music fest and open-door art exhibit.

Guest stars include singer Kelly Rowland, former member of the US’s popular girlband Destiny’s Child, singer Timomatic, who made it to the Top 3 of the 2011 Australia’s got Talent reality show, alongside local singers and rappers.

PulseActive, the organizer, pledged that the colored powder is made from food ingredients and are perfectly safe.

Those interested can register online at www.colormerun.vn or in person at Circle K stores from now to Apr 6.
