The U.S. Navy’s aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan, the flagship for Carrier Strike Group 5, on Monday welcomed the first visit by international reporters and representatives of the authorities of Da Nang City in central Vietnam, where it is making a port call.
The guests visited part of an equipment cellar, aircraft on the flagship, an aircraft parking area, and a control tower.
Earlier, the U.S. naval delegation joined some friendly exchange activities upon their arrival, including a music show to serve young people in Da Nang and sports at the Village of Hope, a center for orphaned, disabled, and displaced children.

The aircraft carrier and guided-missile cruisers USS Antietam and USS Robert Smalls arrived in Da Nang on Sunday morning for a five-day visit.

This is the third time that a U.S. aircraft carrier has visited Vietnam since 2018.
The port call marks a special occasion as the two countries celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Vietnam-U.S. Comprehensive Partnership.
