Nha Trang, a popular beach city of Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam has been seeing a significant influx of tourists, with island and beach tours maintaining its strong appeal, during the ongoing Lunar New Year holiday, or Tet.
Over 8,000 tourists, including international visitors, experienced island tours around Nha Trang City on the third day of the Year of the Snake, said Tran Van Phu, head of the Nha Trang Tourist Pier management division under the Nha Trang Bay management department.
Up to 2,500 foreigners, including Chinese and South Korean travelers, were among nearly 4,500 visitors who went on island and beach tours in the city the day before.
The pier is expected to welcome over 40,000 tourists to Nha Trang Bay during Tet, Phu said.

“Tourists have been beguiled by tours to Hon Mun Island, Tranh Beach, and Hon Chong Bay,” he noted.
Tran Minh Duc, director of Long Phu Tourist Joint Stock Company, highlighted the popularity of the Hoa Lan Island and Dao Khi (Monkey Island) tourist areas, which have attracted a large number of tourists, including domestic visitors and tourists from South Korea, China, and Kazakhstan over the past few days.
On the third day of Tet, these two tourist destinations welcomed some 2,500 travelers.
“For Tet celebrations, the firm has decorated flower paths and set up several photo spots for guests to take pictures, while launching numerous activities such as bird shows, archery and goose racing to delight visitors,” said Duc.
Cam Ranh International Airport was set to serve nearly 1,200 flights, including 800 international flights, between January 25 and February 2 (from the 26th day of the 12th lunar month of 2024 to the fifth day of Tet 2025).
More than 180,000 air passengers have been arriving in the province during the period, with the majority of international visitors coming from South Korea, China, and Russian-speaking countries.
Many hotels and resorts in the province have nearly reached full capacity during the Tet holiday.
In particular, hotels along Tran Phu Street in Nha Trang City and beachfront resorts have seen all of their rooms booked in advance.
