People across Vietnam, along with foreigners residing in the country, took part in a variety of festive activities on Tuesday evening, including fireworks displays, spring flower streets, and captivating drone light shows, all contributing to the vibrant Tet atmosphere.
In Hanoi, tens of thousands of people gathered around Hoan Kiem Lake, including along Dinh Tien Hoang, Hang Khay, and Le Thai To Streets, starting at 9:00 pm to witness the fireworks celebrating the arrival of Tet.
Hanoi launched fireworks at 30 locations, with nine high-altitude and 21 low-altitude launch sites.
A total of around 6,000 high-altitude fireworks and 3,420 low-altitude fireworks lit up the night sky during the festivities.

In Ho Chi Minh City, thousands of residents and tourists, including foreigners, gathered at Nguyen Hue Flower Street in District 1 starting at 6:30 pm on Tuesday to immerse themselves in the festive vibes and celebrate the transition from the old year to the new one.
Families, young people, and international visitors eagerly posed for photos with snake-themed decorations displayed throughout various sections of the street.
Everyone was excitedly awaiting the sacred moment when the new lunar year would begin.
"Every year, I bring my family to the flower street to soak in the Tet atmosphere," said Hoa, a resident of District 3.
"This year, the street is especially captivating with decorations featuring adorable 'little snakes.'
“My children absolutely love them."
Foreign tourists were also in awe of the flower street's beauty. Maria, visiting from Spain, shared her excitement, saying, "This is my first time visiting Vietnam during Tet. I'm really impressed by the creativity and colors here. It feels like everyone is celebrating together. I even learned my first Vietnamese phrase, 'Chuc mung nam moi' [Happy New Year]."
Mohamed, an Indian tourist, shared that this is his first time visiting Vietnam, and it is perfect timing with the Lunar New Year.
“Nguyen Hue Flower Street is stunning,” he said. “I’m taking lots of photos to show my family back home.”

In central Da Nang City, the atmosphere on Lunar New Year's Eve became livelier as crowds gathered along the banks of the Han River and at Spring Flower Street.
Despite the drizzle and chill, thousands of locals and tourists donned warm clothes to enjoy a leisurely stroll, admiring the colorful decorations and vibrant flower arrangements.
Young families, couples, and groups of friends eagerly posed for photos beside elaborate floral displays and the unique snake-themed decorations, all while eagerly anticipating the fireworks show by the picturesque river.

In central Quang Nam Province, despite the drizzle, locals continued their spring outings.
At 24/3 Square in Tam Ky City, which was adorned with spring flowers and the much-talked-about golden snake pair, many young families with umbrellas strolled through the gentle rain, capturing photos.
The scene radiated warmth and joy, signaling the arrival of spring.
An artistic performance and a fireworks display were held at the square to celebrate Tet.

In the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho, around 8:00 pm on Tuesday, both locals and tourists flocked to the vibrant flower street along Vo Van Tan and Nguyen Thai Hoc Streets in Ninh Kieu District.
After a four-year hiatus, many were pleasantly surprised to see the street meticulously designed with captivating miniature landscapes.
The display featured a river adorned with flower-filled baskets, a floating market scene, and particularly eye-catching snake decorations that drew the attention of visitors, who eagerly snapped photos.
As they strolled along the flower street, the three-generation family of 84-year-old Tran Thi Sieu paused to take pictures by the winding river of flowers.
"I feel happy and blessed to have my children and grandchildren by my side, celebrating the New Year together," Sieu shared.
