The training involved cross-border apprehension practices, checking and controlling drug offenders at the Long Sap Border Guard Station, and pursuing, intercepting, and capturing a group of suspects while rescuing hostages.
The Vietnam-Laos border has been identified as one of the key areas for the transit, trade, and transport of drugs.
Since 2020, the authorities of the two countries have collaborated to bust nearly 30 significant drug cases, seizing several metric tons of various types of drugs.
