Authorities in Ho Chi Minh City are investigating the cause of a house fire that occurred in District 8 in the early hours of Wednesday morning, which resulted in the deaths of three individuals.
The fire broke out at approximately 2:20 am on Mac Van Street in Xom Cui Ward, rapidly engulfing a residential property.
Despite attempts by nearby residents to extinguish the flames, the fire quickly spread, requiring the intervention of professional firefighters.
The narrow four-meter-wide street and compact homes posed challenges for firefighting efforts.
Upon extinguishing the blaze, emergency responders discovered the bodies of three victims, including two adults and one child.
The house reportedly had eight occupants at the time, five of whom managed to escape.
