An Airbus plane, A321, of Vietnam Airlines carrying 182 passengers safely landed in Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport today despite it had a technical error at a tire, said Le Truong Giang, spokesman of the state-owned air carrier.
After taking off in the central city of Da Nang at 14:15 and heading towards Hanoi, pilots discovered the tire numbered 3 of the jet was in low pressure and warned the destination airport for carrying out ground safety measures.
Fire trucks and other preparations were well done for the troubled flight VN 1516. After 20 minutes circling Hanoi sky, the plane successfully landed in Noi Bai at 16:25 without a trouble.
According to a source from technical unit in Noi Bai Airport, the bead construction of the plane tire peeled off, causing the air pressure decrease.
In 2009, an Airbus A320 of Vietnam Airlines faced a technical problem and slipped out of the runway in Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City at landing, forcing passengers leaving the plane by emergency doors.
