-- A car went down a flyover in the northern city of Hai Phong at high speed, hit a traffic light and burst into flames on Friday night, with four people on board managed to get out of the vehicle just in time.
-- Poor air quality with an increasing amount of airborne fine dust has been recorded in many places in Hanoi during late nights in recent days, with paddy farmers’ burning straw after harvest in nearby areas determined as the cause.
-- Local bus operator Phuong Trang said on Friday it sacked a male bus attendant for sexually harassing a female passenger on a bus traveling from the south-central province of Khanh Hoa to Ho Chi Minh City on June 5.
-- Three people were injured when a seven-seater car fell into a 200-meter abyss following a head-on collision with a four-seater on the section of the 4D national highway passing through Sa Pa District in the northern province of Lao Cai on Friday afternoon.
-- Police said on Friday that they busted a ring producing fake condom and lubricating gel in Ho Chi Minh City. Legal proceedings have been launched against for men involved in the ring, whereas VND6 billion (US$258,000) worth of products were seized for investigation.

-- Vietnam’s digital consumers grew 63 percent in 2017, the second highest growth among Southeast Asian countries, according to the “Digital Economy in Southeast Asia: Strengthen the Foundations for Future Growth” report released by World Bank on June 6.
