The funeral and cremation of late Vietnamese comedian Chi Tai have been organized by his family members in the United States.

The visitation took place at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fountain Valley, California from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday (local time).

Many celebs, friends, and fans in the U.S. came to pay their last respects to the comedian.

The funeral mass began at 10:00 am on Saturday at the same location, during which representatives from the family extended their gratitude toward all visitors for their attendance as well as to Chi Tai’s colleagues and friends for organizing his funeral in Vietnam and assisting in the transport of his body to the U.S..

Chi Tai’s body was brought to Peek Family Funeral Home for cremation at 1:00 pm on the same day.

His ashes will be rested at the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery on December 22.

Chi Tai, born in 1958, was a famous Vietnamese musician, comedian, and actor.

He first rose to prominence in the Vietnamese community in the United States in the 1980s as the lead guitarist of popular band Chi Tai Brothers.

Following his return to Vietnam, Tai was active in several art fields, including comedy, cinema, theater, and TV shows and dramas.

Tai suffered a stroke at his apartment in Ho Chi Minh City and died in hospital on the afternoon of December 9.

A funeral was previously held in the southern Vietnamese metropolis from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on December 12, before his body was transported to Tan Son Nhat International Airport and flown to the U.S. on the same night.
