Internet and online game centers, as well as inter-provincial bus routes have been allowed to resume operations in Hanoi, but strict measures are required to be taken to prevent COVID-19 transmission.
These services were permitted to reopen from 0:00 on Tuesday, according to a decision announced by vice-chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Chu Xuan Dung during a meeting on Monday.
Owners of Internet and online game centers must require customers to fill out health declaration forms and ensure a one-meter distance between each person.
Inter-provincial bus services must make sure the number of passengers on each trip is in line with regulations.
The Hanoi Department of Transport was tasked with providing further guidance on COVID-19 prevention and control measures for these bus routes.
These venues and bus routes were previously suspended in early February due to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Vice-chairman Dung also requested the city’s Department of Health to continue conducting COVID-19 testing in high-risk areas and provide vaccination for priority groups.
Hanoi has not documented any local COVID-19 infections for 28 days, Hoang Duc Hanh, deputy director of the health department, said at the meeting.
About 90 health workers in the capital have been administered COVID-19 vaccine shots, all of whom are now in stable health.
As of Tuesday morning, Vietnam had recorded 2,559 COVID-19 cases, with 2,115 recoveries and 35 deaths, according to the Ministry of Health.
