A Vietnamese man used a gun to kill another man over their conflict that broke out at a wedding party in the northern province of Quang Ninh on Sunday morning.

According to police in Quang Ninh, Pham Van Phuc, a 38-year-old man in Cao Xanh Ward in the province’s Ha Long City, and N.V.H., a 39-year-old man in Phong Hai Ward in Quang Yen Town, were invited to a wedding party in Phong Hai.

During the party, Phuc and H. had an argument, so they went to a vacant land lot near the Song Chanh overpass on the Ha Long - Hai Phong Expressway to solve it.

At the location, Phuc used a gun with lead bullets to shoot straight at H., causing the victim to collapse on the spot and die after being taken to the emergency ward at Bai Chay Hospital in Ha Long City.

After committing the crime, Phuc drove a car to flee the scene.

Receiving the report on the case, the provincial police instructed the Criminal Police Department and the Quang Yen Town police to urgently examine the scene and the victim’s body, as well as mobilize the maximum force to hunt for the suspect.

About an hour after the crime, the police force managed to arrest Phuc.

Currently, the investigation is underway according to regulations.
