-- Drug-fighting police force solved more than 10,000 cases of drug crimes across Vietnam, arresting over 16,000 suspects and seizing 397 kilograms of heroin, 838 kilograms of synthetic drugs, and 71 kilograms of marijuana in the first half of this year, according to the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department.

-- The administration of Noi Bai International Airport has advised people to travel by public means of transport to the Hanoi-based aerodrome to prevent congestion as its number of daily passengers has surpassed 90,000 this month and is projected to exceed 110,000 in July.

-- The Department of Natural Resources and Environment of south-central Ninh Thuan Province is working to fine the investor of Phuoc Nam Industrial Park in Thuan Nam District for illegally exploiting 5,000 cubic meters of land during the construction process. 

-- Vietnam Cyber Range, a system for practical training and testing of cyber security personnel, was officially launched on Tuesday.

-- A low-pressure area in the East Vietnam Sea strengthened into a tropical depression on Wednesday morning and is forecast to develop into a storm within the next two to three days, according to the National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting.

-- About 8.61 million tourists visited Hanoi in the first half of this year, marking a three-time jump over the same period last year, according to the municipal Department of Tourism.

-- The current financial situation of Pacific Airlines is extremely pessimistic due to cash flow shortage, large overdue debts, and a risk of insolvency and shutdown, Dang Ngoc Hoa, chairman of the board of directors of Vietnam Airlines, which currently holds a 98 percent stake in Pacific Airlines, said at its 2022 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on Tuesday.

-- “At least 51 prisoners died after a fire started during a prison riot in the southwestern Colombian city of Tulua, the head of the national prisons agency said on Tuesday, one of the worst incidents of recent prison violence in the country,” Reuters reported.
