Sang died at the scene while Tuong and four other injured officers were rushed to hospital for emergency treatment, but he could not survive severe injuries.

The heavy-weight vehicle, which was containing four cubic meters of water, was running at about 50 km per hour when its driver suddenly put on his brakes at a curvy and steep road section, accompanied by a wet, slippery road surface as it was slightly raining at the time.
The fire truck thus skidded into the middle of the road and then overturned.
Police officers arrived at the scene shortly after to carry out rescue and investigation.
The Binh Phuoc public security department and authorities hold funerals in accordance with the People’s Police rites for the two deceased officers, as well as gave financial support to their families and the injured firefighters.
