-- One more person died after a passenger van hit a tractor-trailer at an intersection in Quang Nam Province, central Vietnam early on Tuesday morning, increasing the fatalities to nine.

-- South Korean parliamentarians, history researchers, and students visited families who lost their loved relatives in a massacre by South Korean soldiers in Quang Nam Province 55 years ago on Tuesday.

-- Vietnam’s state-run lottery company Vietlott awarded the American-style Mega 6/55 jackpot, which is worth over VND92 billion (US$3.9 million), to the winner on Tuesday.

-- Vietnam has been selected as an eligible country, alongside Germany, Singapore, India, Australia, and the U.S., to send contestants to the Solana Grizzlython 2023 global programming contest.

-- Ho Chi Minh City’s deputy chairman Vo Van Hoan said on Tuesday that the municipal administration will recall the investment certificate issued for the construction of the $40-million Saigon Silicon City Center, a 52-hectare study and development project in Thu Duc City, that started seven years ago due to little progress.

Education 

-- A representative of the APAX Leaders English-language center system told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper on Tuesday that the chain is going to reopen 79 centers nationwide, including 24 in Ho Chi Minh City, in June after recent tuition scandals while the municipal Department of Education and Training denied receiving any document regarding the reopening from the firm.

-- Vietnam will provide Turkey and Syria with $100,000 each as relief aid to support their recovery efforts following a devastating earthquake that hit both countries on February 6, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Tuesday.
