A truck collided with a seven-seater car and crashed into two power poles on National Highway 20 in Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam in the early hours of Friday morning, knocking over the poles and causing a power outage for thousands of households in the area.
The incident occurred in Tan Phu Town, Tan Phu District at around 3:25 am, when a truck ran into a seven-seater car, jumped a curb, and hit two medium-voltage poles while driving on National Highway 20 from Dong Nai to the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.
The collision injured the truck driver, prompting his hospitalization.
It also damaged both the truck and car, as well as broke the two utility poles.

As a result, 8,658 households in Tan Phu Town and Tra Co, Phu Thanh, and Phu Xuan Communes in Tan Phu District suffered a power outage, according to Dong Nai Power Co. Ltd., which promptly worked to reconnect the power network and brought the electricity back to 5,718 households.
Power is expected to return to the remaining 2,940 households by 1:00 pm on Friday.
