-- South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol on Saturday visited a Samsung Electronics research and development center in Hanoi in a demonstration of his commitment to nurturing talents in science and technology before wrapping up his state visit to Vietnam from Thursday to Saturday, Yonhap reported.

-- A container truck crashed into a car running in the same direction on a Nha Trang-Cam Lam Expressway section in Cam Ranh City, Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam on Friday night, killing two people and injuring three others.
-- The Vietnamese National Assembly on Saturday passed a resolution with new special policies for Ho Chi Minh City to boost its development. The resolution will take effect on August 1 this year.
-- The Ho Chi Minh City Management Authority for Urban Railways has introduced an integrated circuit card for the use of the first metro line in the city. The front of the card features typical symbols of the city and the back includes instructions to use it.

The height of the falgpole—63 meters—symbolizes the 63 cities and provinces in Vietnam and the area of the flag—54 square meters—represents the 54 ethnic groups in the country.
